First, Assess the Damage

Dent on the base or shoulder: often cosmetic; insulation may be fine.
Dent that cracks the inner wall: vacuum lost - performance drops sharply.
Dent near the lid threads: may cause leaks.

Gentle Reshaping Methods

Warm water + suction: fill with hot (not boiling) water, cap, and pull the dent outward with a suction cup.
Wooden spoon: from inside, gently push the dent out - only on the base.
Avoid freezing tricks: the old "water and freeze" method can crack the wall.

When to Replace

If the bottle no longer holds temperature or leaks, repair is not worth it. Consumer bottles are not field-serviceable.
